Your offer is conditional. When you send an offer you are saying "I will take this item, assuming it matches the description when I see it." Nothing is final until the item is in your hands and you have checked it at handoff.
Check the item at handoff
Give each item a quick look before you accept it. Check the things photos miss: fabric wear, odour, pilling, stretched seams, missing buttons, and the inside as well as the outside. If it does not match the description, you do not have to take it.
The AI analysis
This is the part that matters most. When you photograph an item, Ragpiq's AI analyses it and suggests a condition grade and a price, weighing market demand, brand, size, and visible condition on a 1 to 5 scale:
| Grade | Condition | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | Brand new | Never used, with original tags or packaging. Only minor manufacturing or handling marks. |
| 4 | Excellent | Minimal to no signs of use. May lack tags. Any defects are barely noticeable. |
| 3 | Good | Used but well cared for. Minor defects that do not detract from use or look. |
| 2 | Fair | Extensively used with noticeable wear, but still fully functional. |
| 1 | Poor | Heavily worn with significant defects. Listed only when the original value was high. |
The AI speeds you up, it does not decide for you. Treat its grade and price as a draft you confirm or adjust.
Authentication, brought in-house
For items where it matters, Ragpiq authenticates in-house to confirm a piece is genuine. That means you can take on designer and high-value items with confidence, rather than carrying the risk of a fake on your own.
